Ambulance Victoria and police were called to an incident where a red AU Ford Falcon struck a pedestrian at the corner of High St and Regent St at 6:40 PM.
Paramedics treated a man in his 70s for a head injury and transported him to Geelong Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have closed off High St from Regent St to the Aldi car park entrance on High St.
Detectives have spoken to the driver, who is assisting with their inquiries.
