On Sunday night, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) and the Country Fire Authority (CFA) responded to a car fire at a property on Ashbourne Street in Herne Hill.
Crews received the call around 9:45 p.m. and arrived within 10 minutes to find a red VF Commodore fully engulfed in flames, which they quickly brought under control.
The following morning, around 10:30 a.m., crews were called back to the same location after reports indicated the vehicle had been set on fire again.
Firefighters swiftly extinguished the second blaze. Witnesses reported seeing two individuals fleeing the scene on a motorbike shortly after the car was set alight.
