On August 8th, in Newtown, an unmarked police vehicle was part of a four-vehicle collision.
The incident occurred on West Fyans Street around 4 pm when a Ford collided with the police vehicle.
This collision resulted in the police vehicle subsequently striking two stationary vehicles waiting at traffic lights on Shannon Avenue in Newtown.
While no injuries were sustained, a passenger from the Ford and another from a BMW were taken to the hospital for observation.
Their conditions were confirmed to be non-life-threatening.
Additionally, the driver of a VW involved in the collision was also transported to the hospital with injuries that were determined to be not life-threatening.
